Fáilte go Rang a hAon 2017/18

Welcome to our webpage! September was a busy month settling in to our new class and getting down to work!

Our wishes came true on All-Ireland Final day when Galway won the All-Ireland hurling finals, both minor and senior-what a day!! Here we are taking wearing our Galway colours wishing them good luck!!

Skipping Workshop

Every year we have a man come in to teach us how to skip for a day. We had great fun-we were wrecked after it!! Here are a few pictures of us in action!

Mindfulness in the Classroom

Every day we try to find a few minutes to do some  simple mindfulness activities in the classroom. It calms us down and it gives us a few minutes of peace and quiet in our otherwise very busy day.

Gaillimh Abú!

What a day it was when Galway Senior hurler Thomas Monaghan brought the Liam McCarthy cup into school. The atmosphere was brilliant! He also brought the Leinster Cup, the League Cup and the Irish Press Cup that the Galway minors won. The pictures may look very civilised but I assure you the volume was loud and proud!!!

Hallowe’en Madness!!

What a great day we had getting our Hallowe’en holidays! We made chocolate apples with sprinkles, had a barnbrack and did a show in the hall. The winner of the hallowe’en art competition was also announced so well done to the worthy winner! Hope everyone had a great day!!

3-D Shapes Construction

In maths we were learning all about 3-D shapes this week so we all brought in some cylinders, cubes, cuboids, spheres and cones from home. We had great fun sorting them into group and discovering which ones would roll and spin. After that we used our imaginations to build things! Check it out!

Christmas Fun

Santa Visit!

Special birthday wishes for the Birthday Boy!

Christmas Play-It’s a Baby!!

The AL-Ireland Minor hurling Champions Galway kindly lent us their coveted Irish Press Cup for our Christmas Play. One of our Wise Men presented it as a gift to Jesus! We were very proud performing for all our parents and relations and Mrs. Keary was soooooo proud too!

St.Valentines Day treats-thank you so much to our kind parent that send these delicious, heart-shaped cookies to school for us all-they tasted as good as they look!

Pancake Tuesday was busy serving pancakes to the whole class-sugar, lemon, chocolate spread….DELICIOUS!!

Seachtain na Gaeilge

We performed a song using claves for the whole school and we also had a céile. It was a great week!

National Odd Sock Day for Downs Syndrome

Can you recognise your own sock?!
